We are off on a sightseeing tour of London …

London, United Kingdom is my next stop. We have been there a few times for business and for pleasure. London is the capital and largest city in England and the United Kingdom. It is one of the oldest cities in the world and one of the most cosmopolitan as well as an economic, transportation, and cultural centre.

London offers many tours. We purchased the hop-on, hop-off bus tour ticket allowing us to explore at our own pace, even at night, including free walking tours and a 24-hour Thames river pass. We viewed Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Parliament Square, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben.

Moving around London is easy people walk, take the underground tubes or take the train. Everything is connected from the moment you land at the airport you can take a train, tube, bus or taxi anywhere. We took the Heathrow Express Train from the Heathrow Airport to Paddington Station where we were staying at the Hilton Paddington.   

On one of our visits to London we attended a wedding in Stratford-Upon- Avon, better known as Stratford, a market town in the Stratford-on-Avon district, in the county of Warwickshire, in England, situated on the River Avon. It is a popular tourist destination because it is the birthplace and gravesite of William Shakespeare.
