We discovered the most beautiful retreat just steps from our front door… on our first day at our new city rental we went for a quick walk to check things out. We followed the paved pathway through the park along the river and found the perfect spot, a huge rock on the side of the river positioned with a view to the waterfall. It was breathtaking. We sat on the rock for what seemed like forever feeling the power of the water. We both left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

As we headed back home we realized that we would need to prepare a backpack of supplies and equipment to accommodate our new lifestyle of exploring the wonders of nature. We were already walking on the path, splashing in the water and cycling on the trails. We needed our cameras to capture the moments, water to hydrate, towels to dry off, suntan lotion and our house keys.
